Baked Macaroni and Cheese Salad Recipe

This recipe for baked macaroni and cheese salad is tasty and nutritious. Ingredients required are one package of macaroni, one cup of shredded cheddar cheese, half a cup of soft cheese, and half cup Parmesan cheese. You will need to prepare two tablespoons of butter, two tablespoons of flour, two cups of milk, and don’t forget half a cup cream. In addition, you will need half a cup bread crumbs, a half cup mayonnaise, one peeled and diced apple, 100 gm of boiled fresh green peas. That’s not all of course; you will need one shredded carrot, one boiled and diced potato, half a cup of diced pineapple, half a cup grapes and salt and mayonnaise to your liking.

Start by cooking the macaroni according to the directions on the package and set it aside. Heat a saucepan on medium and melt the butter. For this recipe to work you will need to the flour in the melted butter and gradually add milk by stirring constantly. The white sauce has to thicken to a smooth consistency. Add the cream slowly and keep stirring. Then, add the cooked macaroni, cheddar cheese, soft cheese and Parmesan cheese and stir continuously. Flavour with salt and pepper. Remove the pan from the burner.

Preheat the oven to 400 degree F. Add grease to a baking tray and pour in the macaroni and cheese with white sauce and then put the bread crumbs on top. Bake for 20 minutes and allow to cool completely. Mix all the vegetables and fruit in with the mayonnaise and keep aside. Add the mayonnaise with vegetables and fruit to the baked macaroni and cheese. Voila! The dish is ready to be served.
