Baked Macaroni and Cheese with Tomatoes

Baked macaroni and cheese combined with tomatoes tastes great. The ingredients for this dish are one package of macaroni, two cups of shredded cheddar cheese, half cup Parmesan cheese, two onions, three tomatoes, five to six cloves of minced garlic. You will also need four tbsp butter, two tbsp flour, two of cups milk, half a cup of cream, half a cup of bread crumbs, and salt and pepper to taste.

Cook the macaroni as directed and set it aside. For a wonderful white sauce, melt two tbsp butter and fry the flour in the melted butter for two minutes on a medium flame. Add the milk gradually and stir constantly. The cream also has to be added slowly by stirring continuously. Add salt and pepper and remove from burner. Now, take a frying pan and heat the remaining butter. Sauté minced garlic in the butter for one minute and add the cooked macaroni. Stir fry for one minute and add the white sauce and shredded cheddar cheese and cook for two minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Preheat the oven to 400 degree F and lightly grease a baking dish. Cut the onions and tomatoes in circular slices. Pour the macaroni cheese in the white sauce in the baking tray and place the onion and tomato slices on top. Sprinkle the top with Parmesan cheese and bread crumbs, and bake for about half an hour. Remove from the oven and allow cooling for ten minutes before serving.
